Loads of Dresden

Some pics of Dresden.  As always, enjoy!

Dresden with his suit on for the first time.  I almost died from being suffocated by cuteness! (I did stop breathing for a second)

Dresden with his Uncle Matt.  Can you tell who has stayed up way past bedtime?  Yeah, neither can I.

Okay, story time.  I decided to give Dresden a little mow hawk for church on Sunday.  I HAD to take a picture.  Is it even legal for him to be a stud at 8 months?!?  I couldn't decide which pictures I loved more, so YOU lucky reader get to see them ALL!  You can thank me later...

This next video I took today.  I was prepping dinner and looked over and saw Dresden trying to run laps around his Around We Go.  I did notice that he is actual using his legs as if he is walking instead of using them simultaneously to push himself forward.  Thankfully he can only run in circles.  I may have to have Josh build us a Dresden "Run" for him when he starts walking.  He may just go from rolling to sprinting.  Are there baby Olympics?

Okay, sorry got sidetracked... Here is the video!

**PS... please excuse the dry humor.  I was in a weird mood tonight and find my commentary dripping with sarcasm...

Jefferson Memorial

On Sunday, I had to drag Joshua out for our "walk" with Tucker.  Our goal in bringing him out here was to get him (1) lots of exercise, and (2) get him "cultured" (haha).  We decided to go to the one place that we haven't been at the Mall, the Jefferson Memorial.  We each took turns watching Tucker while the other went into the Memorial with Dresden.  It was interesting to learn about the kind of man Jefferson was.  One thing I had never known was that before writing the famous documents he is known for, he was one of the few lawyers who would represent slaves to sue for the right to freedom.  I also took a picture of another interesting tidbit to share with ya'll!

Updated Dresden

This past week seems like we have a completely different child.  Dresden has turned into a total goofball!  He tries to make us laugh and even makes faces at the camera.

One of the things I noticed that Dresden started doing just today is that he figured out how to go in circle on his Around We Go.  Now all he does is go around and around screaming (another habit picked up this week) all the way.

Visiting the US Capitol

On Saturday, a group of us got to do a tour of the interior of the US Capitol.  The building was beautiful and crowded.  You could easily get lost in this building with how many stairs, corridors and rooms it has.

Dresden wondering what the heck we are doing

This star located in the catacombs (not as "tomb-y" as it sounds), represents the center of Washington DC.  Because of this, the US Capitol doesn't actually have a physical street address.

Supreme Court Building

We walked across the Capitol grounds onto the National Mall and they were establishing the 31st as National Dance Day.  Nigel Lythgoe was there to receive the pronouncement from a Senator.

...and Dresden fell asleep.
