Sunday we trekked over to Gettysburg and visited some of the park. There was WAY too much to see on foot and it was super humid. The only things we got to see were the Pennsylvania Memorial and the National Cemetery where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address. I found it interesting that the Gettysburg Address was not written on the back of an envelope or on the train ride to Gettysburg. Lincoln had spent a great deal of time preparing his speech. Had he not had the foresight to do this, his inspiring address probably would not exist or be celebrated to such a degree. Just another example of how sincerity and preparation can be integral in the ways we conduct our own lives, even if our contribution is small in comparison to others.
Side Note...Dresden, as always, was happy and loved to go out. He loves the attention he gets from the people in our group (especially the girls). It is crazy how social he is.
