Week 843 Part 2

We then went to the Smithsonian Castle for lunch, got ripped off on the food, but got some really cool pictures of the open wing of the Castle.

Next we went to the Library of Congress. Amazing building!! We couldn't take pictures of the interior of the research study of the library, but we could take pictures in the other rooms.

After the Library we walked down to Union Station.

But first... we walked past the Supreme Courthouse

 Union Station

And now our Dresden moment of week

Dresden was in a giggly mood that day...

Week 843, More Sightseeing

Josh and I had a busy week last week.  On Sunday, we couldn't get to our apartment after church due to a football game, so we drove to Richmond.  It was neat seeing the city, but one of the coolest things we saw was the Hollywood Cemetery.  This cemetery is the burial place of two US Presidents, Jefferson Davis, over 18,000 Confederate soldiers and the most Confederate Officers of any cemetery.  We didn't have the camera with us, so I took some pictures from my cell phone.

This was a pyramid built to honor the women of the civil war (?)

James Madison's Tomb.  Looks like a big birdcage.

View of the James River from the cemetary

On Wednesday, Josh's old mission companion came into town for a job interview so we spent the day sightseeing with him.  First we went to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and got to see the new $100 dollar bills.  It was interesting to see the whole printing process.  We also got to see a bunch of secret service people getting the first class tour on the actual printing floor.

And just in case you were wondering what $1 million looks like, here it is in $10 denomination

The Many Faces of Dresden

This post was Josh's idea.  We went to a Fall Festival on Thursday in Centreville.  It was fun with animals and hay rides and a corn maze.  They had these weird face framing things that half of them weren't even big enough for anyone's face, but Dresden took it in stride.

Rainbow corn/Pose worthy of a political poster

 Stacked pumpkins

Cow with a hole in its head

I don't even know what this is.

Troublemaker already

 Needs to shave already?

 Pacified Sheriff

 Scarecrow and scary couple?

I saw this as we were walking and had to take a picture.  I have no idea what this is suppose to be, but I think they need a new artist for their "kid-friendly" farm.  They don't even have FEET!  The horror!

Gettysburg Part Duex

Josh and I went to Gettysburg again about two weeks ago to see all that we missed the last time we went.  Here are some pictures from that and some funny things we discovered about Dresden.

Josh and Dresden at the "Torch of Peace"

This is the place where the Union won the battle over the south.

Dresden started to put his hand in the cannon and then decided last minute he didn't.

I believe this is the North Carolina Memorial

I think this is the Virginia Memorial

Forgot, but pretty cool.

I love this picture!

This one is alright I guess :)

Since Dresden had been in the car for so long, we thought he might want to crawl around in the grass at our last stop.  Much to our surprise, we found out that Dresden does not enjoy grass.  It was so funny watching him trying to figure out how to crawl to one of us without any inch of skin touching the grass.

We also took a video of Dresden trying to walk.

Overdue Posting

I know I haven't posted anything in a while.  Dresden has an obsession with the computer and will not let me get away with doing anything on it while he is around.  So here is a first in a series of updates for you all to check out!

First we will start out with the random Dresden pictures/videos.  I still have no pictures of his 6, yes SIX, teeth.  They haven't grown in enough yet to photograph.

 Dresden Loves Brochures

I love his concentration face.

Chillin' at the restaurant

And now for the encore of Dresden running in a circle...
